Help us make Port Townsend a place where we not only enjoy independent film, but use it as a tool to serve our region—to tell our own story, learn from different perspectives, and come together as a community.

Your gift today will help PTFF build on recent successes, as we ramp into 2025. In 2024, patrons and supporters like you:

  • Attended six PTFF Focus events where we partnered with local nonprofits to advance their missions through the use of film

  • Joined our loyal volunteers at four FREE screenings at Film & Friends events and Backyard Movies at the Fort

Local filmmakers received unprecedented support from PTFF as well.

  • Our first ever Short Screenplay competition resulted in the full production and premiere of Glampire at the fall festival

  • PTFF hosted screenings of local filmmakers throughout the year and in the Festival.

    • Ingress by Bainbridge Island-based Rachel Noll James

    • Dark & Tender produced by Port Townsend-based Color of Sound

    • Seven local films in our first ever Local Shorts block

The Festival in September was a blockbuster! PTFF:

  • Collaborated with Northwest Treaty Tribes Media to present opening night film Fish War

  • Collaborated with Well Organized / Black Lives Matter of Jefferson County to present a new level of Forum events

  • Achieved record pass and ticket sales.

Let’s keep the momentum going for 2025!

DID YOU KNOW?

Ticket sales cover only a fraction of what it takes to present a 4-day film festival, along with other events throughout the year. PTFF’s commitment to affordability means we rely heavily on the generosity of donors and sponsors to make it all happen.

Gifts of any amount are appreciated and honored. Those who give at $250 or above will be listed on screen and in the program of the 2025 Port Townsend Film Festival.

What does your financial gift pay for?

$1000 - Present a FREE outdoor film

Support our iconic free outdoor movies on Taylor Street and at Fort Worden. Entertain people of all ages. Your donation helps cover screening rights, advertising, equipment rental, and staffing.

$500 - Bring FREE music to Taylor Street

PTFF’s inviting atmosphere is what makes it special. From free picnic meals, daily music by local and regional musicians, and the indoor Festival Lounge, your donation helps support local restaurants and musicians.
